if you sell umbrella, you have two season, one where is high seasonal demand and the other one is the low seasonal demand. How do you estimate when and how much the optimal order quantity is, if you know the one season will be end soon, so u know u cant sell all product (assume the amount is as large as EOQ) on the season, and the remain must be sold on the next season?

Distinguished Yeni Kurniati, in this kind of problems, if it is non-perishable products and that they are not affected by the fashion (the umbrellas were seeming to be quite stable to the fashion), there is a pair of aspects that in general cannot allow to escape, one is the resources (financial and space, mainly) and the other is the personnel.
If the personnel are a fixed staff the best thing is to support a more or less fixed load of work during the whole year. That is why the importance of financial resources, since there can be a very high investment in inventories in the low period waiting for the high period, and also the space resource, because this merchandise can occupy spaces that are not available or are expensive to maintain.
If to decide to maintain the production constant throughout the year, it is possible to make an estimated of the annual demand and to work with a simple model, as you indicate it, EOQ.
In any case this process can do to itself dynamic, re-calculating the entire demand, after every period (it can be monthly).
We are working on this last topic, but the work will not be available until the third quarter.
