I read from papers that an industralized aluminizing process usually has three forms; chemical vapor deposition, pack cemitation and phase vapor aluminzing processes.
The last two are very similar; they both put powder and specimens together and I can't tell the difference. Does anyone knows?
Well, VPA uses pellets instead of powder mixture of Al donor alloy thus making inert filler unnecessary. It reduces waste management and cost related to it. Moreover, pellets are easy to recycle.
This process is cost efficient when compared to pack cementaton.

Thanks a lot, I now understand why VPA use pellets and slices as masteralloy,
It does make inert filler unnecessary, but our recently reseach shows inert filler can possibilly cause contamination in low activity aluminzing process, so it's also a good part of it.
