Hi,

I'm running an experiment that requires ultra-clean microscope slides (think darkfield microscopy), and was wondering if anyone had a suggested approach for cleaning slides of particles and dust.

Thus far, I have tried three methods.

  • Wash pre-cleaned slide with DI water, then dry with Kimwipes.  Unfortunately this leaves Kimwipe residue on my slides.
  • Wash pre-cleaned slide with DI water, then let it air dry in a slide rack.  Unfortunately this leaves marks where the last water droplets were before they finished evaporating.
  • Wash pre-cleaned side with Sparkle Lens Cleaner.  This leaves marks everywhere, predominantly from where the last droplets of cleaning solution were.
  • Since my experiment is hyper-sensitive to dust and other particles, does anyone have a suggested method for removing dust?

    Thanks,

    Dennis
