I'm working on systematic review (epidemiology of disease) based on retrospective studies( most papers ) and surveys, I need to apply checklist to assess quality of papers
Look at the Cochrane review guidance for meta-analyses (and systematic reviews). Depending on your topic, also look at the US Preventive Services Task Force (medical intervention) or Community Preventive Services Task Force (non-medical intervention) guidelines from the US Centers for Disease Control & prevention (CDC). All of these sources include copious examples of completed reviews. You will need to tailor your criteria to your topic.
There are often checklists required by journals in general. PRISMA may also be required to distinguish PRISMA or PRISMA-P. I recommend that you use PRISMA or AMSTAR for your research and follow the journal's Instruction for your submission.
