I'd like to pull venom from my pet lionfish. I can imagine that pressure and puncture of a basic seal on a beaker or something will work, but is there a good type of seal to use? and how should I store it? I am thinking 0 Celsius cold storage but wanted to ask.

that Nat Geo article isn't exactly right. my understanding is that there is a vibrant program at the University of Florida training wild animals to eat lionfish successfully.

well, I had marginal luck with the seals I used. my fish is highly domesticated and docile so I had to issues handling her, but the spines are more like a gila monsters teeth. I don't think I pulled more than a sheen onto the cover, I just cut the tip off a latex glove and pulled it over the test tube.
