For too long, research on e-government has been based on the developed world and in particular technology transfer of solutions from developed to developing countries. Emerging is a growth of successful models of e-government in developing communities in their own right, reflective of increase in technology capacity, confidence and leadership in those countries. I am aware that in the Netherlands, they use augmented reality as a tool in order to provide the public with public services. I am currently researching this subject.
