What do you do when you and your colleague in RG agree to write a research paper and provide him with your ideas and some proofs and then he decided is to write the paper alone and to publish it under his name?
I am not saying that this has happened yet, but it might happen any tie!

Make sure you both firm a contract and leave evidence of both the agreement and the contributions at each work meeting. If something happens, you have evidence to back it up. Transparency is key, but trust can only get you so far, you have to take basic precautions.

I know of one case in which an omitted co-author was successful in getting a journal to print a correction of the list of authors after threat of litigation, but it was a costly decision. The omitted author eventually was demoted and sought employment elsewhere.
Personally, I err on the side of trust until that trust is broken. Then I speak only of a "former colleague."

Thanks so much for your answer.
It is nice to struggle lawfully in order to get the rights. Any one who abuse the trust that the others give him will negatively affect his academic reputation. In this case, one may use all the evidence he has to complain against that person.
