0.2 M of Aniline and 0.5M of sulfuric acid gives a polyaniline film on stainless steel. there I used 6 mA of current for 200s in three electrode setup. But this film does not give a good long lasting cycling behavior.
The potential you had chosen. is bit different from what people use for the polymerization of aniline. You could go through this article, might help you to improve your polymerization.
Generally while electropolymerizing aniline in inorganic acid medium like sulphuric acid, one must look into the potential window for electrodeposition. Keeping potential window between -0.2 V to 0.8 Volts, one can deposit PANI film by cyclic voltammetry. Keeping low scan rate, you can get thin PANI film.
