As the monomers are in liquid form, you can polymerize them without any solvent. Nonetheless, if you are preparing MIP by bulk polymerization, it will need a porogenic solvent as well. Otherwise the resultant polymer will be too dens and will possesses no pores for the template molecule to pass though and reach the specific cavities. If you are preparing the MIP by surface polymerization, you can omit the porogenic solvent and only use the monomers.
