I have a simple question with some of you? Which molecule was on Melvin Calvin' table? I guessed It would be Ribulose bisphosphate but it doesn't look like that? Thank you very much for your knowledge !
If it's only one molecule, it has too many atoms (about 43 are visible) to be ribulose bisphosphate, which only has 30 atoms when fully protonated. Moreover, it appears to have at least 2 rings, whereas ribulose bisphosphate has only one.
It was a well-known picture of the Nobelist, I though many professors must know the full story related to Calvin, and I am still waiting for. I wanted to use this picture for a lecture, but unfortunately didn't know its details. Thanks
