Thanks for these papers. Are there any that relate specifically to R&D budgets & funding? I basically want to look at how much people had to spend on Rc (specifically investigating their potential to attend & present at conferences), then to see if their was any correlation between dips in research funding & published outputs.

This is definitely worth looking at as it gives a full year-by-year break down by country, by region & also on a global scale.
I can now put the data alongside my own & look at what impact the financial situation made on how we continued to engage in conferences etc. during this time.
