There are already several countries who have analyzed the potential for agricultural NAMAs and are at different stages of implementation. In general, we are at a very early stage, with about 10% of all NAMAs submitted to the UNFCCC registry showing an agriculture focus. To address your question more specifically, relevan agriculture NAMAs in my view are those that can address mitigation, adaptation, rural development and food security goals at the same time. These typically involve, among many possibilities, activities focusing on good practices for more efficient land and water management, integration of agro-forestry systems, more efficient input use, more efficient livestock systems, reduce waste and better supply chains, restoration of degraded lands including peatlands, etc. would recommend you download two publications we have recently completed (MICCA series 8 and 7) here: http://www.fao.org/climatechange/micca/78431/en/
