I am doing experiments in vehicle routing problem for GA. I have a confusion on choosing new offspring with the help of crossover. I have a doubt that which crossover will be suited for choosing the city, where the city cannot be repeated in new offspring.
OX crossover is suitable for Vehicle routing problem and other problems related to finding the best permutation of components .

It depends a lot on the objective function when choosing which ofspring will be selected. Furthermore if you . It is impossible to include cities that are not in parents because crossover is basically a combination of the parents. only mutation can provide the offspring that is not from the parents.

May I recommend self-crossover (which technically isn't crossover at all!)
Also I find that many people are concreted in the belief that a GA requires some form of traditional crossover. Depending on your polling style, a crossover-less GA can be quite effective.
