weinberg writes a comment on the discovery of quantum mechanics, which is simply, at least, misleading. his exposition gives the impression, as if schrödinger did discover quantum mechanics. but the truth is, that Werner Heisenberg discovered quantum mechanics in 1925 on the island Helgoland in Germany. this very first version of quantum mechanics was called ''Matrizenmechanik''. in the famous ''Dreimännerarbeit'' it was completely elaborated by Werner Heisenberg, Max Born and Pascual Jordan at the end of 1925. in the beginning of 1926 schrödinger gave the second formulation of QM, the ''Wellenmechanik'', of which he gave a completely wrong interpretation. it was Max Born, who gave the right interpretation. why steven weinberg does not give the correct historical facts, is the question. please comment.
