I understand that, the disjoint two stage approach need to be used for higher order model construct. However, if I would like to report the reliability and validity in my pilot test, do I have to report the validity and reliability for only the lower order construct and report higher order construct in analysis for the measurement model. My focus here is on the pilot test.
You need to report your sample size, how they were recruited, how you administered the questionnaire, any changes made, reliability (a simple Cronbach's alpha will suffice), and validity should all be reported (a simple confirmatory factor analysis or any other suitable validity test). You need to report also the reliability and validity for lower order and higher-ordered in the measurement model analysis.
