what the diffierence of PANI-ES and PANI-EB for transition in CV test? In addtion, for example, tetraaniline is a kind of oligoainline, when it is undoped state, it is formless and has CV activity (transition:LEB-EB-PEB). When it is doped state to be (ES), it has special morphology (wire, sphere,flower) and has the better CV activity. For doped TANI with special morphology, what do you think of tis CV transition.(?-ES-?) or unchanged. PAPER:doi:10.1021/ja1014184 (fig.1) only refered to the transition of EB, But I want to know the transition of ES.
I am not a CV expert, but what CV does is to oxidize and reduce a material. As EB and ES have the same oxidation state, their CV should basically be the same. However, as ES is conductive, its sensitivity towards electron transfer (electron release = oxidation, electron acceptance = reduction) is MUCH better, in this state, as ES, the particles can also be oxidized and reduced in the core, inside of the particles, not only outside.
The morphology of ES or your TANI which you described, is secondary morphology, the primary morphology of ES and EB is the same (spherical particles); but ES has the much higher surface tension, so it tends to agglomerate much stronger than EB.
