what test that should be done to activated carbon filter of purified water system in order to evaluate the performance of the unit operation. (test such as TVB ,BET, chlorine,TOC,TSS, total hardness and so on)

In this article, I used some mineral adsorbents, that work like activated carbon, in porous concrete as filtration and I am working on a project that we use lignite and iron slag as filtration to improve the quality of leachate.
I suggest that you should conduct tests such as COD, BOD, EC, TSS, turbidity, nitrate, chlorine and heavy metals like Pb, Zn and Cr since I consider such tests for my experiment.
