In my research study, I have to synthesize nanostructured metal oxides. Most literature I read utilize hydrothermal methods using an autoclave. However, we do not have an autoclave in our lab. What is the best alternative for this?
You may try chemical precipitation using metal salt reaction. Sometimes controlling pH. You have to look papers on precipitation of the metal of your interest.. Good luck
The synthesis of nano structure metal oxide is totally depends on the type of metal, those nano particles you want to synthesize. But in general case various methods are reported such as hydro thermal method, chemical precipitation, aerosol chemical vapor deposition method and metathesis process.
If you do not need a really restrictive control on pressure for the autoclave, you can try to substitute it by a pressure cooker. Pressure cooker is almost same than autoclave, just the control of temperature and pressure is not that good.
