I think wars should be immediately considered,,,it all boils down to sufficient food resources and natural resources.
This is in fact one of the major concerns behind future scenarios: unpredictability! wars, economic crisis... difficult to anticipate and major drivers of future human drivers of change. Uncertainty!

I am afraid that scenario is very predictable: larger frequency of extreme weather conditions like long-term huge cyclones (heavy rains) and anticyclones (droughts), more dry climate in general. Both cases will reduce agricultural production and cause spreading of new plant and animals diseases. We can find solution for all these problems, but cost will be very high, although, without it we will pay much more later.
I think that we know in history many periods of similar troubles, mankind has survived it, but many local civilizations has not.
