MB7H10 (BD) can be used for M. smegmatis growth. We get good growth in glycerol containing MB7H10 agar at 37 C.

Middlebrook 7H10 agar or Middlebrook 7H9 broth supplemented with 10 % OADC, 0.05 % Tween 80 and 0.5 %, v/v, glycerol. Incubate at 37 C.

2X LBA also works with 0.05% Tween80

I grew M. smegmatis on 7H10 and 7H11 with glycerol. Don't forget to pour a thick layer, it will need like 3 days fo grow if you transform so a thin plate may dry out.
