Dimension of the infusion pump is an important factor to be successful. Anyone having knowledge about the dimensions of a typical infusion pump can give me suggestion.
Great question! I have used numerous types and sizes of infusion pumps over the years. The two main issues are Form and Function.
Form: relating to infusion vesicles (bags, bottles, or syringes). Sizes (are the pumps going to contain the vesicles?)
Function: Modes of delivery. Digital? Screen size (large enough to contain the pertinent data) patient control function? Additional function require more components therefore increase in size.
One problem with making a device small (pocket sized) is resou management. The smaller the device the more likely it will be lost to the institution (theft, misplacment, tossed in the laundry or garbage).
Sorry I wasn’t able to provide a definitive answer, as we say in Anesthesia,”It depends!”
