I'm simulating a solar cell which contains a thin Barium Titanate (BaTiO3) layer of about 2 nm thick, so in order to define this material I must choose one of the available materials in Silvaco as a user.default parameter. Which material do you think I shall choose?
BaTiO3 is a ferroelectric insulator, therefore you treat it as an insulator and you give its dielectric constant. However the the dielectric constant of the very thin material may be lower than that of the bulk material. Please, do you mean that the results will depend only on the given material properties (permittivity) and choosing any insulator among those proposed in Silvaco (vacuum, oxide, nitride,...) as the user.default parameter will give the same thing?
