Create faith and believe among people of the nation for unity, make them not to join any group in any form. Aware the nationals to make unity, fraternity, sociaility, territoriality and protection shields. Good services are provided in war torn areas to save the humanity. Replace the bullet with peace and non-violence. take external help for some tough decisions to fight against terrorism. Honest reporting, sharing of valid information according to the requirements of the policies of the said region and circumstances of the problematic zone. It is very important for the responsible role of print and electronic media. Currently social media is also very popular source of transmission of information therefore it is the responsibility of the governments and authorities to provide modern communication facilities to public according to their maturity level as a nation. News about terrorism, bombings and killings create pain and stress among public therefore it should be circulated in controlled manner, I think.
Media's role and responsibilities viz-a-vz fostering peace in a country plagued by terrorism are and should be rudimentary. First, it must avoid sensationalism. This means the media, especially electronic media, should avoid showing footage with dead bodies, gory scenes, blood, etc.
Now coming to the point, how to help build peace in a terrorism-ravaged country, both print and electronic media, have a great role to play. Objective analysis of the situation is critical and diverse views should be encouraged. The so-called "liberal" or "progressive" writers usually do nothing with their mostly slanted writings than adding fuel to fire. We need to hear different perceptions in a single issue to reach a conclusion.
Condemning terrorism and/or terrorists or their acts is not the solution to the problem. We need to talk about the causes of terrorism and how to eliminate it. Only this can bring peace, and should be line which the media should take in a country facing terrorism.
