I'am writing thesis about increasing wind turbine eficienty, by active change of the blade geometry. I have basic question about making airofils analysis before designing a blade.
What Re number should I choose at the start of the designing process? Re number depends on wind speed and also chord length, assuming that viscosity is constant. I assumed rated wind speed of 11 m/s, but should I make an analysis assuming chord length at each segment of an blade, and then calculated Re to make an analysis, or assume one Re numer for whole airfoil family?
After that, how should I treat variation of Re numbers along the blade calculated afters whole rotor analysis?

I have the same question for my graduation project.

This code is depended on a variation of Re along the blade radius, so the for loop in each section is done, but I can't run the code for my procedure, I have some errors in the XFOIL code that I can't understand it. Can any one help me?
