As a teacher, I see multiple students, particularly females, who struggle socially and are often labeled with ADHD or depression/anxiety. Some of these students seem to display behaviors on the autism spectrum but I know with the current evaluation processes in place, these students wouldn't qualify for additional services because they do not display profound or significantly disruptive behaviors. How do we help support identifying females, who are already underdiagnosed, in the general education system?
