150,000 people worldwide defeated coronavirus
The number of patients who overcome the coronavirus exceeded the mark of 150 thousand people.
According to the latest data, 151,833 people have already overcome COVID-19 worldwide. Almost half of them are citizens of China, where the outbreak of the epidemic broke out. Now the country has almost coped with the spread of coronavirus on its territory.
The number of cases around the world now stands at 723 869. 34 thousand patients died from the disease, 26 719 are now in serious condition.
The United States holds the championship on infected people - 143 thousand infected were detected there. In Italy, almost 100 thousand people are already infected with coronavirus, 82 thousand in China, and 80 thousand in Spain.

In Finland 40% of those in intensive care due to Covid-19 survive.
Did you think this was high or low?
In the county where I live in the UK, the level was 41 cases but the person sharing this with me told me that half of these had not survived (but did not mention about the number who had a chronic illness). I have just looked at the map and see that the number of cases is now 56. I cannot find the link about fatalities.
We are still very low in comparison with other counties but everything is very strict regarding the good practices in place to prevent the spread of the virus.

In Finland we had in the fifties two epidemies of polio. There are still people alive from that. Here is a taste of that:
Now the situations has changed, almost all patients in intensive care due to Covid-19 survive for the time being in Finland. We have followed very strict regulations with the capital in isolation and the border to Sweden still closed.
We have to keep distance to every person in the shop, many people do not visit the shops at all, they get the food delivered home. People 70 years or older as well as younger with special disorders e.g. lung problems, have been isolated and in quarantine for several months. We are also asked to travel only within Finland for the time being. The universities are still closed. There is about 5,5 millions people in Finland and about 10 millions in Sweden.

Update: currently hardly any patient (today 1) needs intensive care and no-one seems to die anymore. The fact that the cases are mildly infected today awoke a discussion about the nature of the virus, is it mutated. The answer is no, but there is a drastic change for the better. A total of 336 persons are dead. 8 337 have got the contagion, 7350 have recovered. Those who died, I do not know anything about their underlying disorders and their age groups. We have been investigating the use of laparoscopy during the pandemic.
