We need to assess the prey base of Dhole in KCA region of Nepal. The region has temperate to alpine bioclimate. In such regions, direct sightings of prey species is rare. We plan to use camera traps as well but are not sure it will be enough for prey base assessment.

Camera traps can provide some infornation but wouldn't you analyse content of feces ?
Thank you Arvind. I will look at them. I have already read the first paper on habitat selection and feeding ecology of dhole. However, i couldnt be sure how they assessed the prey base of dhole in that study.
Dmitry, camera traps will provide some information about the prey base. Sorry but I didn't understand what you meant by analyse content of feces. Do you mean to say diet analysis through scats of Dhole?
