I was handed a research teaching load and I am not really an expert in this matter. I need to guide students who are trying to make insecticides from a plant extract.

I was thinking that the existence of the solvent after the extraction method (could be maceration..) would affect its "effect" to the specimen.

Kindly enlighten me.
