VLE is an enhanced individualised learning approach except that it is enhanced electronically.The idea of sharing all the information using virtual classrooms defeats the development of self efficacy and self cognitive development instincts in individuals.So the best method

1. Develop a self learning methods more than teacher-based  methods example: ask research- able questions-ie questions that will make your class develop inquiry skills

2.Provide links to knowledge discovery  ,dont give them all the info

3.Encourage brainstorming in the discussion class

4.Follow each student according to his/her pace even though yu have a stipulated time plan

5.Award more credit to those that do more inquiry thereby challenging the less

inquisitive ones

6.Give reading assignment with summary no matter what course you are teaching

The best method is INQUIRY.since it is personalized-the more one searches knowledge the more knowledge is created.

I figured it is a simulated class, so it might touch on AI or some type of agent systems. Or I am hitting a totally different area or understanding?

As an avid user and researcher of a VLE methodology, it is important to remember that a great deal of the success of the learning does depend on the learner.  VLE usually is done on an individual student basis, although collaboration can be accomplished. The instructor has to scaffold the learning very carefully to offset the steep learning curve inherent in using VLE worlds.
