After Phase 1 Composting of Volvariella compost, it is difficult to reach pasteurization temperature (we use steam boiler). once the steam turned off, the temperature suddenly drops. if there is no problem on room thermal insulation, what is possible error that happen? if it come from the formula, what chemical content would be insufficient?
If it is carried out in a closed room, the excess steam may cause the relative humidity to increase once the steam has been turned off. This will cause condensation of the water vapor which will extract the heat out of your compost resulting in lowering of temperature. I suggest you install an agitator within the room or provide a ventilation once the steam is turned off to solve the problem. Hope it helps !
