You didn't mention what voltage, current or power, but IGBTs or MOSFETs are fast controllable switches used in power electronics. The real trick is paralleling and seriesing enough switches to handle the desired current and voltage, respectively. Tell more about the application.

David Cope HI David.. Thanks for answering.. I am looking forward to using a voltage in the range of 4000 V to 10,000 V with a current of up to 1 mA.

Moreover, I am ready to use 2 different high-voltage modules for my application. Let's say 4000 V for 1 second and 10000 for 20 seconds.

How should I approach the switching problem? Thanks

You haven't mentioned the switching time requirements (ON and OFF), and whether the voltage is AC or DC. The list of switches and general descriptions seem complete, but the challenges are in the details. Is the application a high frequency switched mode power supply?
