My problem is related to predicting a certain proportion of consumption. If we put it as if it was about economics, we can think of money spent to operate a business. We are spending money regularly to operate the business. Salaries, transportation fees, expenditure for electricity, water and gas etc. Those are taken as a proportion of spendings. Thus are accepted as a part of whole. So we are trying to estimate these proportions based on environmental conditions. These are average distance of building to employees houses, average environmental temperature, whether the business place in a tower or not etc...
Was there any statistical approach to predict proportions of expenditures related to those environmental conditions? How can we apply it? And is there any pre-condition or limitations to conduct that approach?
Thank you all.
