I think we need to calculate the heating energy consumption of a building via database of the recent past because of the the global warming. Which and how long time period is recommended for this purpose?
What is the purpose of this calculation for you, dear Rita Csomor ? In agriculture we use in several plantations, an accumulated data, helps to describe the phenological stages of development or not of the vegetation.
Thank you, dear Gabriel Costa. We use degree day data in building eneregetics. The predicted energy consumption of a building is based on the average degree day of the heating period (six month, for example in Hungary). What is the proper length of the averaging period: that is the question. 30, 20 years, or pearhaps 10 years are sufficient? And weather we must use the data of the latest years, and actualize the averaging procedure from year to year, via putting the period forward?
Do you use the accumulated data of the actual year in your investigations, or are you averaging for a former period directly joining to the actual year?
Climatologicly, a good normal of data need 30 years, because mean value theory show its necessary. About degree day on agriculture, we are talkink about a cumulative daily index to answer the development of culture.
