Polyaniline has amino groups with the basic properties. The carboxyl groups of carbon nanotubes have acidic properties. Therefore, between them is an acid-base interaction or hydrophilic-hydrophilic. But polyaniline and nanotubes has hydrophobic benzene rings. Therefore, hydrophilic interaction will be enhanced hydrophobic interaction.

I could not understand "hydrophilic interaction will be enhanced hydrophobic interaction". Is it mean that hydrophobic interaction will be more in the present system ? (i.e hydrophobic-hydrophobic interaction). If possible please provide me literature also. Waiting for your kind reply.
