What kind of attractive or repulsive forces exist between particles in liquids (not on the surface of the liquid) ?

in steel melts, researchers report about capillary action. All particles move on the surface and distorts the liquid surface which results in an attraction between big and small particles.

However, this is not valid for light metals because the particles mostly suspend in the melt. Do such forces still exist between them?

Depends of the fluid(s) material(s) itself.

If magnetic every nearby magnetic field must be considered for once.

If with wind contact (air particles or not) every single air current is to be considered.

Depending on the amount of fluid gravity might also be something to consider.

Aside from that ... mixed fluids with those properties.
