In the case of the Taiwanese Aboriginal higher education, Prof. Cheng-Feng Shih suggests that Indigenous studies is not equal to ethnic studies and unable to be replaced by ethnic studies. In other words, he supports Indigenous studies should be an individual academic discipline. I agree with that. We know too little about Indigenous studies and need a professional arena to explore more uncovered wisdom.
