I'm studying the ratio of different crop products / crop residues and their yields per ha under different climates, but this crop is still little known in Italy. There is difference between sink and source of different crops...like in cereals, sink is grain containing plant apparatus may be spikes, particles, pods, or many other parts, but in case of leafy vegetables, both sink and source will be leaves of the crop plants ..In general, In India, the most producing biological yield is of cereals especially rice and wheat in which 40:60 is an average ratio containing grain and straw, and it has been well documented that rice and wheat alone produce 80 cent of the annual residue production, which in turn burnt down for quick field preparation for sowing operations...
