In geographies where farmers are resource-poor, may not be able to afford all agricultural activities and inputs which leads to extensive farming. But, in case of demonstrations we need to follow the protocol/recommendation (time/type/dose/etc.) and can never miss out anything.
Very interesting indeed. It is really a task that varies a lot but I would prefer to have minimum gap in production cost involving demonstration field versus farmers field, this is where the success of any technology lies...
First of all, related to varieties, there are six right: right type, amount (kg) seed quality, right time, right target, ang right location/agroecosystem.
Second, introduced technology: presicion farming related to fertilizer base on crop need, early warning system related to pest and deseases control.
Third related to machine and equipment introduced technology relatively more mechanized farming to reduce labour cost. Last but not the lease is capital limitation. Thanks a lot.
Adaptation of technology will decrease the average cost and increasing the output of production and thereby economies of scale was met in the long run relative to conventional farm practice, in general approach of cost.
