What is the temporal sparsity and spatial sparsity in compressive sensing and wireless sensor networks ?

I have a hetero sensor data(from some website) and it has a temporal correlation (sparsity) (it is sited in some papers), I'm confused how can i make sure that the data is temporally correlated. How can i perform compressive sensing on that temporally correlated data.

I'm stuck in understanding this, It would be a great help to move further.
