By definition, fluorescence is a hyponym of photoluminescence.Besides, fluorescence is the emission of light (or other electromagnetic radiation) by a material when stimulated by the absorption of radiation or of a subatomic particle while photoluminescence is luminescence following the absorption of a photon.

I want to ask how the dimension of material play role in  fluorescence characteristics. What changes occurs when a nanomaterial is investigated with reference to a bulk material?

As you decrease the size of material,  fluorescence wavelength will be blue shifted with higher fluorescence intensity.

Yes, I would say the same, the lower dimensional materials exhibits, fluorescence which is blue shifted with high intensity due to high confinement.
