The problem is not limiting the amount of quantitative methodology, but if the balance is overly quantitative and the qualitative data is too limited. Quantitative data such as demographics is very important, particularly when ethnographic research is focused on urbanized populations (neighborhoods, villages, etc.). But the qualitative observations are essential to understand what the quantitative data mean.
