Neutrophil leukocytes play the role in all infections including in dental caries infection!

Primary Host factors that are related to dental caries are the salivary parameters (both physical and chemical), and tooth morphology ( fissures and pits and cuspal pattern). 

1 million neutrophil leukocytes enter in to oral cavity with full dentition every minute.  Why are they ignored in dental caries infection. We know that neutrophils play a role in all other infections
