I am depositing thin film of Pt- quantum dots on glass substrate and FTO coated glass substrate. Surprisingly I observed that FTO glass is more reliable for coating. Does fluorine do this?
I mean deposition is noticeable! eg. for the same dips say 50 dips, glass is not showing opacity due to deposition, instead FTO shows blackish film over it! so reliable in the sense of deposition.
This can have quite a few reasons I think... I can be caused by a different surface chemistry, different surface contaminations, roughnesses and so on...
That is interesting! Are your quantum dots surface modified? My first thought is that it probably is related to surface charge effects. Have you researched the surface chemistry of FTO?
No sir I saw it 3 -4 days before! I am checking its electrochemical properties so I coated it over FTO and rest you know! I will follow this, thank you!
Diffent materials shows different growth rate in different substrate. So subatrate selection is very much important and for a particular materials you should survey litereture.
