the role of physiotherapist is the most important one as in uterine prolapse the pelvic muscles are weak, so we need to give them muscle stimulation to pelvic muscles and even pelvec muscle floor exercises
Dear Sir - the most effective successful physiotherapy for uterine prolapse is the two procedure explained below:-
1. Raised leg --Abdominal crunch with raised Neck breathing procedure
This procedure is usually recommended to be done in the morning only
This procedure is done with the person wearing Good and Tight abdominal trunk up to thigh level suit.
The person is asked to lie down flat on the back and legs straight position.
Both the legs are asked to raise up to 45 degree from ground level.
Now the neck is asked to raise same as 45 degree from ground level after the legs are raised.
Now ask to breath five to seven times with good inhalation and exhalation.
Now lower both the legs and neck to ground level .
Now breath five to seven times with deep inhalation and exhalation.
Repeatt this procedure for eight to ten times ---- which is ONE SET
Ask the person to do eight to ten set per day once in the morning only.
2. Raised and Fixed Ankle with Body Pull up procedure.
This procedure is usually recommended to be done in the morning only
This procedure is done with the person wearing Good and Tight abdominal trunk up to thigh level suit.
The person is asked to lie down in a slope table with the ankle in raised position and head in the lower position.
Secure the ankle in the inverted "U" frame .
now pull your body up to reach your fore head to your knees.
Can do five to ten times as ONE SET.
Repeat five to ten sets a day in the morning only.
NOTE: there is no breathing sequence in this procedure and you can take your own pace to suit your stamina. And when you raise your head to reach your knees --- at starting you may only reach 20% to 30% distance but as time goes the pelvic and abdominal muscles will tighten to crunch more and your fore head will reach your knees ---as you keep trying. Please take care of DIET CONTROL to prevent weight increase.
This is a nice review of the evidence for pelvic floor muscle training: Bø, K. (2006). Can pelvic floor muscle training prevent and treat pelvic organ prolapse? Acta Obstetricia Et Gynecologica Scandinavica, 85(3), 263-268. doi:10.1080/00016340500486800
I think they should be complemented two types of treatments.
active; an intervention that can be very useful is working with abdominal hipopresivos.
provided they have been standardized or balanced anatomical structures related to the pelvis, such as the sacrum, iliac .. and innervation zone and nervous control
passive:
just as a job promotion and elevation of the soft tissues and ligaments are suffering from ptosis.
I recommend two kinds of treatments for pelvic floor strengthening .
one is electrotherapy ( interferential therapy with 4 cups accessories)patient is lying on his or her back and flexed his/her knee and then two cups attached to inner thighs and two lower abdomen and wires are attached so red leads cross one direction and black on the other direction so criss cross way. Both currents should intersect at the pelvic floor muscles and use this for 10 minutes.
2 :
exercises in supine and hold a swiss ball between his or her ankles and ask patient to lift it up and hold there for 10 secs.
Repeat this exercise with ball this time between thighs and hold it and push ball upward .and hold there for 10 secs then repeat 5 to 10 times. 3 -4 times a day.
Physical therapy strengthen the pelvic floor muscle the functional life becomes easy it works basically on the bladder to regulate it's contracton volountraliy ,strengthening for the time of urgency this avoid leakage but exercise work time should continous ,regular and should complete the required duration to get best results.
