I recently had a discussion with a fellow master's student from Pakistan who expressed disinterest in pursuing a PhD. He mentioned that with AI increasingly being used for data analysis and paper writing, research is no longer as valuable a skill for humans. While I understand that AI can assist in many aspects of research, I would like to ask experts:
What key research skills do humans possess that AI cannot replicate? How do these human-centric skills contribute to meaningful and original research, especially in areas where AI seems to dominate, such as data analysis and paper writing
