What is the relationship between students' 21st century skills and academic performance?
The acedemic performance should be matched with and mapped with the need of Industry 5.0 requirement so as to ensure learning ,innovation with fufilling job demands.It may also include team building,creative thinking,critical thinking,empathy and leadership developememt skills to give overall developememt of personality.
let me try answering this in a following ways
for succeeding in Industry
1) We need to have the basic understanding of the academic concepts related to the domain of work we are going into, it is absolutely must for you to start making an impression and not to look fool. So knowing the basic as well as advanced concepts are fine. so this is a direct relation between his understanding the bigger picture of concepts he has learned and the application
2) This technical ability need to be supplemented with soft skills and most importantly how he conveys the information or the thoughts, how he communicate with peers and seniors, what type of attitude is the individual have,...
So if something which need to be actively taught in college along with books are
1) Innovative thinking
2) soft skills
3) and right attitude
