The reward structure is a setting that affects an evaluation of
success (Ames, 1992) based on a comparison between the actual situation and the desired end state (victory). Especially, in team handball games, it is also a dynamic structure evolving with the score difference between the teams, and the numerical difference as well.
Accordind to research on Achievement Goals, goals orientations interact with context to determine states of goal involvement, which in turn contribute to influence the adoption of specific motivational patterns. As consequence, states of goal involvement are dynamics (e.g., Gernigon et al., 2004).
To the best of my knowledge, researchers did not investigated the relationship between the situation's reward structure and the states of goal involvement.
