Fields don't collaborate-people do. The relation between quantum physics and artificial intelligence is quantum computing; so people that work in that subfield have common interests.
In my knowledge, these topics doesn't interfere since quantum physics interests mainly the hard tools of the calculations (I refer to qbit) but AI concerns the soft part (AI softwares).
There is a significant similarity between the math of advanced AI pattern recognition and quantum annealing that has lead researchers from the quantum world to collaborate intensly with AI researchers.
As this collaboration has strengthened the toolsets used by both groups have advanced along parallel lines.
