In my opinion Computer Science (CS) is the umbrella area and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the concept which uses various fields flowing out of CS ; this entails data storage algorithms, systems software design and development principles, basic and advanced programming techniques.
Also for AI to mature it may take several years as the robots collect enough data to predict the pseudo human reactions.
So CS remains the future and AI is one aspect/application of the same.
