The proposed system model consists of two back-to-back converters to connect the WECS to a common AC-link. The MSC is designed to achieve MPPT. The GSC regulates the DC-link voltage, which is actively controlled to feed the power generated, thus enabling the grid to supply only sinusoidal current at Unity Power Factor (UPF).
